if you ever turn around, you'll see me.

Yesterday when you were young
Everything you needed done was done for you
Now you do it on your own
But you find you're all alone, what can you do?

You and me walk on, walk on, walk on
'Cause you can't go back now

You know there will be days
When you're so tired
That you can't take another step
The night will have no stars
And you'll think you've gone as far
As you will ever get

You and me wak on, walk on, walk on
'Cause you can't go back now

And yeah, yeah, you go where you want to go
Yeah, yeah, be what you want to be
If you ever turn around, you'll see me

I can't really say
Why everybody wishes they were somewhere else
But in the end, the only steps that matter
Are the ones you take all by yourself

You and me walk on, walk on, walk on
Yeah, you and me walk on, walk on, walk on
'Cause you can't go back now
Walk on, walk on, walk on
You can't go back now

I really like this song. I always listen to it when I'm in a mellow mood or have a lot on my mind. It reminds me to let go of past regrets or mistakes and to live in the moment. It also reminds me that there many people in my life who are truly there for me no matter what. In life, you go through many ups and downs with friends, which inevitably lets you know who your true friends are. I've recently had a lot of these kind of realizations about true friends, so this song really epitomizes how my friends are there for me when I am going through hard times and getting over regrets, mistakes, and being hurt. In the moment, it can be hard to notice who is there because you're so caught up in your own stuff. Remember, though, that even when you feel alone, there are many people who love you and are there for you.

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND POEM:

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.

This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.

The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.
